Cats do not sleep on a bed so much as inside something. Give a cat an open cushion and a cardboard box in the same room and the box wins every time, because a roof over the head is worth more to them than padding underneath.

The BurrowBag is built around that preference. It is a soft sleeping bag with an open mouth and a thick fleece cuff, so a cat can crawl in completely or lie half out with just the head showing, depending on how cold the room is.

The outer shell is printed cotton-feel fabric in three nursery patterns, and the whole thing is lined with plush. There is no frame and no stuffing to collapse — it folds flat when the weather turns and comes back out in October.

Why You'll Love It

🛏️ Semi-Enclosed Tunnel
The bag is closed at the back and open at the front, so body heat stays in instead of drifting off the top of an open cushion. Cats find the shape on their own within a day of it appearing in the room.

🧣 Thick Fleece Cuff
A deep roll of white fleece runs around the opening. It holds the mouth of the bag open rather than letting it collapse, and gives a cat something to rest a chin on when only half inside.

😌 Calmer Sleep
An enclosed space lowers the number of things a cat feels it has to keep an eye on. Nervous cats and new arrivals settle faster in something they can get their back into.

🪶 Light and Foldable
With no rigid frame it folds down to almost nothing for the summer, then shakes back into shape. Storage is a shelf, not a cupboard.

🐕 Small Dogs Too
Terriers and other small breeds that burrow under blankets use it the same way. The shape suits anything that likes to sleep with a cover over its back.

🎨 Three Nursery Patterns
Rocking horses on pink, bears on yellow, sheep and clouds on blue. All three are quiet enough to leave out in a living room rather than hiding in a utility.

🧺 Washable
It goes in the machine when it needs to, which for a bed a cat sleeps in daily is more often than most people expect.

🌡️ Made for Autumn and Winter
Thick enough to be worth having from October onwards, which is exactly when cats start looking for warmer places and finding your bed.

📐 Open Front, No Zips
Nothing to catch a claw on and nothing to fasten. A cat walks in, turns around and settles.

🏠 Fits Anywhere
Small enough for a windowsill, the end of a sofa or inside a crate. It does not take over a corner of a room the way a basket does.

A Place of Their Own

Put it somewhere warm and slightly out of the way for the first few days — next to a radiator or at the end of a sofa — and leave it alone. Most cats try it out within the first evening.

If yours ignores it at first, a familiar blanket laid inside usually settles the matter.
